Roland is married to Martha Graves, retired speech pathologist with the Brownwood Independent School District. They have two grown sons, Taylor, who is an Edward Jones investment broker in Amarillo, and Karlton, who is a teacher and football coach in Vega, TX. Roland and his family are members of the Central United Methodist Church in Brownwood.
